FAU to Host Events for Women’s History Month
Florida Atlantic University will host events at its Boca Raton, Jupiter and Davie campuses to celebrate Women’s History Month. The events are free and open to FAU ֱ, faculty and staff.
The following events will take place at FAU’s Boca Raton Campus, 777 Glades Road:
Women and Flight in Florida Since 1913
Thursday, March 1 through Tuesday, May 15
Wimberly Library
Women have been a part of aviation history since the early years of powered flight, but their accomplishments have often been overlooked or forgotten. This exhibit looks at aviation history through the eyes of a number of Florida women – astronauts, pilots, aviators and service personnel – who advanced the aerospace industry in important way.
Flavors of Diversity: Woman & Cuisine with Chef Shane
Monday, March 12 at 3 p.m.
Nations Multipurpose Room
FAU’s Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs presents Flavors of Diversity. Students will engage in meaningful conversation on how food serves as a preservation of culture.
